but I thought I would update you on my newbery quest. I have 24 books left. (I am in the middle of 3 at the same time. uggggg.) Having a hard time cause I am down to ones I am dreading Like Gay-neck, the story of a pidgeon. Seriously? Or yet another horse book, White stag. I was looking and I finished the first newbery in my quest on 4/28/10 so now I am going to see if I can get all the rest done before 4/28/11. Okay, just cheating a little since I had read a few. I re-read any book that I couldn't tell you the story line of. Like I know I have read sounder, but didn't remember it, so I'm re-read it. However, island of the blue dolphins I remember, so I did not re-read. Wish me luck. I am off to reading. Well, after I change the laundry, do some dishes, put the babies down for a nap and vaccuum the house (after I finish finding my floor!!!!) Have a great day!!!
UPDATE: Make that 25. I just looked and they have choosen the book for 2011 so I had better read that too. It is called Moon Over Manifest

You go girl! That is so great that you are reading all of them! I have a few favorites, and yes I really do care!
You are superwoman. It's been confirmed.
I am down to 17! I am purposely saving the newest ones until I finish all the old ones. the old ones are so weird that I need something to get me through them. The book I'm most looking forward to reading is Kira-Kira. The one I am most dreading is the very first one...The Story of Mankind.
Hi Melissa,
This is Anneliese's mom commenting. Anneliese was telling me about your new additions and I just had to take a peek. So I've been stalking your blog for the last 1/2 hour :) What a cute, cute family you have. This post caught my eye and I've decided to take the challenge of reading all the Newberry's. Started the download on my Kindle :) Thanks for the suggestion and good luck to you.
Linda
PS Anneliese has a question for you if you haven't talked to her already.
