James took an oar from the garage to knock down some more leaves. So he told Annie to move.
She was standing over here. She said she moved, but apparently not far enough.
Here it is flying through the air. (See Mia in her curlers? Thats what I was doing during this incident by the way)
And it smacked her right between the eyes.
This is right after it happened. Poor thing. She was so swollen and bruised. It was bleeding like crazy. I was worried it was broken. Can you see the red circle right where it hit her? Poor thing. I will take another photo of her. Now she just has the sore and a black eye. She is a trooper. Speaking of owies . . .
I was upstairs feeding babies last night (John was voting. Note to self, don't go after work, he waited in line 55 mins) when the kids were playing the "don't let the balloon touch the ground" game in the basement. Next thing I know, Annie yells up, Emergency, Mia is purple and covered in blood. So I go running down the stairs. She is sitting on the stairs dripping blood. She looked like a halloween costume gone bad. She was covered. It was in her eyes, in her mouth, a trail where she had been. She was a mess. (Rewind. Mia was supposed to be taking a nap earlier in the day but she didn't. She came out after a while and just sat on the couch with a goose egg and road rash on her forehead. She refused to tell anyone what happened. I think because she was supposed to be asleep and she wasn't doing what she was supposed to, she was not going to tell. So in the pictures, that is the bottom owie. It was from earlier that day.)
I know it doesn't look that bad, but you could see a hole. She had a hole in her head from the corner of a dresser. She went to hit the balloon and smacked her head. Its not much but dang it bled a lot. Do you see the red streaks of red in her hair?
Check out her blood. So, we have been dealing with a ton of blood around here lately. Luckily it hasn't been to horrible, but both girls still hurt pretty bad. You couldn't even touch near her head. My poor baby girls.

Oh, my stars! They look so painful! Give them both a big hug for me.
