These are the days of our lives . . .

Sorry, no Marlena or Hope or Bo.  You are stuck with just us.  ha ha I have a ton to blog and I will try not to bore you to death and I won't post all my photos since you would have to sit here all day.   But here is what has been happening in our lives.  (Sorry, no editing here!)

Spring Break

Lots of tent making and game playing.  The kids played so well together. I just love that.

I went in Mia's room to take a picture of her and she told me "Get out of my room".  Nice attitude.  Teenage years starting way too soon.

Some awesome bed jumping.

I think Cassie got to my computer.  Her and Triniti were playing pollys.  I took at picture and she was embarrassed for me to blog it.  She is only 11, I personally think it is fine to play with dolls.  Apparently she is trying to grow up faster than I want her to.
Way too much of the white stuff.

Tried our hand at making teddy bears.  Not the best.  Oh well, it gave us something to do.  I kind of know how to sew a straight line.  They were a bit small so we had to fill it with rice, or in other words, I have lots of rice around my house.

Quite the concentration.

There's the rice.

We lost our power from 6 pm until around midnight.  This was the kids dishing up ice cream with the light of their DS's.  ha ha (and enjoying cookies becca brought home from Young Womens).
Then we woke up to even more of this stuff.  Uggggggg.

Annual April Fools Day Dinner

This is what Mia had to eat with.
It was so funny watching Mia eat spagetti with a ladle.  I finally gave in and let her use a fork.

Airport

My parents came home for a month from the LDS mission to Latvia.  My mom has to have surgery on her knees.  So this was the welcoming crowd.

Easter
We went to my sister/parents house for Easter.  we had way too much fun.

Easter Egg Hunting

Candy throwing for conference entertainment
A few sleepy heads.
We even did a glow in the dark egg hunt.
I just had to add this in.  Please ignore my storage room.  James was mad that I said no to a milk box so he chucked it into the storage room and it exploded.  So he had quite the clean up.  Well, there you have it.  Thanks for watching The Days of Our Lives.

WOW! I loved this post. Soemtimes I think it's all of these little things that matter the most not the big grand adventures. It's the little things that I remember from growing up.

Katelyn is only 10 and I had a similar experinece with her wanting to grow up. It surprised and saddened me. Ah, what are we going to do with them?!!

I hope your Mom's surgery goes well for her. I am sure you are thrilled to have her home for a month though. Didn't they sell their house though? Where did they go to stay? Anyhow, I love to read their blog and I see right where you get your picture taking skills from. Your Mom has posted some amazing pictures.

Oh Man...I forgot from last year to this year about the april fools day dinnner. I wanted to try it this year.. I suppose there's always next year!

You have a great family.

I can't believe you're so nice and let them have their spaghetti in bowls. I've always made mine eat it from a plate...and boy is it hard to scoop up! course, it's also much easier to just stick your face in it and slurp! We didn't get to do it this year because Doug and Brett were on a scout camp trip, and Wes was skiing with a friend. It was pretty lame for us!!

I LOVE the April Fools dinner. That looks like a lot of fun. I need to get more creative.
