John is never allowed to play basketball again. (Parental Guidence is suggested. Do not look at if sqeemish.)

John had his knee surgrey last Thursday. He is doing well, relatively speaking. It hurts alot. It is in a huge brace. I wish I had my camera before his surgery. They shaved his knee and made him wear pantyhose. Pretty funny, I had a big laugh and wished I had brought some nailpolish for his toes, just to top it off. I do feel really bad for him. It has been pretty painful. He had his checkup today. They took off his brace for the first time. That felt great and he is now able to put some weight on it.



This is a pretty awesome ice water machine. I keep the cooler thing filled with ice and water and it pumps the cold around his knee, no need for ice bags, YEAH. Granted, getting up at 3 in the morning to refill it wasn't the best, but it is still pretty cool.


He just chilled out in bed or on the couch. Pretty exciting :) That is his super stylin pantyhose.


Here is his knee today, it is pretty swolen. They "harvested" (gross, I know) part of his hamstring and used a cadavers (yes, I do mean a dead persons) ACL to fix his. They drilled holes through his bones and poked holes up near his thigh to pull the tendon things through, nasty. Then they trimed his miniscus. A cool part is that his screws and the things holding it in place are biodegradable (is that the right word?) and will only last around a year. You can't even see them in an xray.

His knee still says yes in a few places, pretty funny. Anyway, there you go, some grusome pictures.
