Now, if you know me at all, you know I love photos. I love scrapbooking the photos and taking them and looking at them. So, I loved looking at these old photos. There is also a website that I love that these people find or buy old photos and try to figure out and return them to their families. I have been following this blog and it was fun to discover stuff about my families photos by looking at hair and the background. (I can’t get on the internet now, but I will get the link to that website later, sorry)
But before I begin, I have to shout out to Sis aka Claudine. Years ago, she went though and scanned in my parents photos and slides. That was a big job and I really appreciate it. It is really fun to have all these old photos. Yes mom, sorry, but they are old.
This is the picture I used on facebook.
Isn’t she pretty? How fun is that. I love her shirt and her hairstyle. And she could pull it off without a bumpit.
So, as I was looking though all the old photos trying to decide which one to use, I realized that we have some really super fun pictures. Some of these I am going to print off and hang in my house because I love them that much. Now some were fun just because of the era. You know the kids standing in a line with horrible matching outfits? I am not going to put in every awesome photo like that. These are just my absolute favorites.
How sweet is my dad with his brothers?
I loved the plaid and their pants, not to mention the little bandage on Uncle Rogers chubby finger.
I don’t remember this next picture. I love everything about this. I love the bobby socks, the cars, dresses, everything. My mom is the cute one second from the left. Mom, who are the others? I totally wish I was alive at this time. But then I would be my moms age and that would be strange.
I am sincerely hoping that the hairstyle in this next picture never comes back. ever, ever. This and billy rays mullet should run away together and never come back. (Sorry mom. I do love you, but you taught me that honesty is important, sorry)
This next picture is a favorite because it is so small town usa. I love the bikes, the barns. I bet they still look that old and raggedy. I adore Uncle Gaylens hat and your cute pedal pushers. BTW, last summer, becca bought a bike just like this one.
I don’t have anything to say about this photo. Just love it.
Has there ever been a cuter toddler? I wonder what kind of curlers you slept in, Mom. Maybe rags? And those bows. Grandma Loosle must have been so happy to get to have a baby girl to spoil for her youngest. So sweet. I bet she made your outfit. I love that.
This one is fun because I can picture a lot of my nieces and nephews in my dad’s face. I also wonder how much Daper Dan’s he used.
Why in the heck did I have to get the Loosle Genes. No fair, I want the Jacques genes. Did I get in the wrong line in heaven? Somebody get this kid a pie. He is see-through. I thought brian was thin. He is lard butt compared to my dad. now I know where James gets it. He is 10 years old and be just bought him some shorts. He got a size 7 for length. If I bought for his waist, he would be in the toddlers. And PS Dad, I think you should have watered longer. It’s a little brown.
I don’t know why I like this photo. It doesn’t even really look like my mom. But I just love it.
I love this one because it is my dad and grandma sledding together. I hope my kids will take me sledding when I am old.
What a tiny sled. ha ha
This one is great because these kids will be graduating high school soon. I can’t figure out where time went. But they are growing up great kids, so I can’t complain. Oh, I also love this photo because my mom’s glasses are bigger than her head. ha ha
This is when my family was sealed in the temple. ( I am sure I am in this photo somewhere, you just can’t see me. ha ha) I like this one because I am in love with my moms purse and coat. I wish they were mine. It was hard to choose a photo from that day, I loved them all. Soon this will be my little family sealing our adopted kids to us. I am so excited.
Oh, and I love Laura’s fountain on her head. I think she looks a lot like her son Zach, if Zach were a girl that is.
This is another one that I love just because. Are you getting bored of my pictures? I love that my dad’s outfit looks like something Zach Efron would wear. I don’t know the story behind this one. Is that a vacuum? It is just a young and in love photo. Love it.
My sisters in a pyramid. How fun and how little.
Now, according to Sis, this photo was taken in 1977. Since I was born in 1977 (I am not good at math, you know) that should be me in the oven. How funny is the look on her face? I was her 5th baby girl in 10 years. Someone give that girl a nap.
Love that wall paper and I think Walmart still sells that shirt.
Okay, so this is one that I am going to have to print for my house. I am loving so many things about this picture.
1. their clothes 2. the couch and afghan 3. sis and her cute face, glasses, and 70’s hair ribbon (far left) 4. then there is Denise looking like that girl from The Apple Dumpling Gang movie 5. and her avacado green pants, purple shirt and her red socks. (that is something my girls would wear) 6. okay, so Amy has a dorky look on her face, but she is so cute and she is so little to be feeding me in all her chubbiness. precious. 7. I love Laura on the end. She is the age of adoring babies, oh so sweet.
Cute Cute Cute
Since you know I love doing the Easter photos. This looks just like something I would take. I have taken easter photos with my girls in shawls. In fact, I think I still have some of these shawls in my cedar chest. Plus I am stinking cute.
I am dying to know where this one was taken. First of all, I think old navy is selling these shirts my mom is wearing. Second of all, is she holding Mia? Don’t we look alike? Crazy days.
Now you know where I got my april fools dinner tradition from.
ha ha ha ha matching pj’s. ha ha ha ha
This was just super cute. I love that my moms hair doubles her head size. Just a cute photo of the olden days. Don’t you love how my dad’s hair is cut over his ear. ha ha ha and Laura and Sis’s matching outfits.
Speaking of big hair. I think it is funny that Brian looks like he is concentration so hard on his number 6. ha ha and why in the world am I barefoot. I went to the photo shoot without my shoes? Are you kidding me? I am my fathers daughter.
Okay, so I had to stick in the photo of the kids in matching clothes standing in a line. (2 of the girls are my cousins)
And last but not least, I guess a sense of humor runs in my family.
Well, there you have it. I ended up with a lot of photos. Thanks for sticking in there and humoring me. Here is hoping that I stay away from any more old photos. ha ha

I LOVE the one of your siblings holding up the numbers- that is totally how I remember you guys. And your LEGS are to die for; so long, tan, and sculpted.... what I wouldn't give!
BTW: I love your blog and yes, you should win mother of the year, and not just for taking them away for spring break but for everything you are doing.
me again.... I just posted a comment, but was logged into my business gmail, sorry. Kymberly Mann Stoddard
Ok...that was fun! Just a couple of comments--the one you said you want to print for your house...I think Amy looks just like Mia (or should that be the other way around?) And the one with all the hand prints that you didn't know where it was taken--If I remember right it was the Osmond studios. Oh--BTW...Donny will be here to visit me on Friday. Ok...it's actually a cd signing with Marie, but in my twisted little mind he is coming to see me!!!
These are awesome pictures!! So fun that you have so many great pictures of you all together...big hair and all! :)
