I am going to show off my creative space. . . hope you enjoy. Leave me a comment so I know what you think.

I have 6 kids (my oldest was 9 when I had # 6, so they are pretty close together) and we have had 79 foster kids in more than 8 years. So, needless to say, I don't have much space for myself. My husband and mother-in-law created a space for me. I love to make cards, take pictures, scrapbook and blog those pictures. I also enjoy being with my family and watching t.v. (I probably should't be admitting to that one) so they made my space in the family room so I could still do all that I love.
See it over in the corner there?
Pretty nice, huh? I know I don't have a ton of stuff, but hey, it is my stuff and I like it.
They put this board up so I can hang stuff up. It is nice to have it all where I can reach it. It is organized chaos. It looks pretty messy, but I know where stuff is. I sound like a teenager trying to get out of cleaning her room, don't I?
Well, there you have it. A brief look into my space. I probably can't sell my house cause this puppy isn't coming down easily, but I love it. Hope you did too.

Cute crafty corner. Looks like you have alot of fun in your creative space!
What a loving, heart felt gift from your mother-in-law! Girl, how do you find time to create when you have that many kids? You must be one talented woman! I am impressed! Thanks for the peek into your great studio and into your wonderful life! When you have time (ha), stop by my blog for a visit!

Are you kidding me?! You don't have a lot of stuff?! I could go shopping there! And, it looks pretty stinking organized to me. I throw my stuff in drawers and call it organized because it's hidden. I remember when your husband and mother in law created that space for you, I thought it was awesome and so thoughtful.
I love that your art making is in a family space. I think having your children see you making art is important. And with 6 you don't have any time to spare on those scrapbooks! Thank you for sharing.
I have to lift some of these ideas for storage and display...small area is jammed packed with supplies...Love it! Wow..TFS.
Mellisa, I think it's wonderful. You get to hang out with your family AND have fun playing at your desk at the same time! Thank you so much for sharing it with all of us!

how nice that a space was created for you to create and interact with family~lots of family :)
Girl, with all those kids in the house you deserve a little cuddling in front of the TV time!
I like the little corner you've carved out there. Even more impressive is how you can carve out time to craft or scrapbook. I only had 3 kids and as they get older I feel like I'm re-awakening as an artist.
Good Job and I'm impressed.
Nice crafty corner. Great that you can be where the kids are too.
Great space, organized and right there so you can be with the family.
You obviously have a pretty special mother in law to help create this special space for you. It looks perfect for the busy life you obviously lead- you can be part of the family and yet have your own space to do something for yourself. Thanks so much for showing us!
I love that your creative space is centrally located in your home so you can be with your family. Your supplies are so well organized and with ease of use too. What a sweet husband and MIL you have for doing this for you. It must be such a joy. Thank you for sharing.
That was so nice of your family to share a corner where you can do what you love and spend time with family. You obviously have more energy than me. Thank you for sharing your story. Connie
thanks so much for sharing your space my space used to be in my kitchen with the sewing machine constantly set up there I was able to get heaps of sewing done even with four children under foot now thya have grown I have room to spread out but work full time so ge so much less done Oh well one day again I will be at home thankyou for being normal not a fnatastic artist with all that the shop holds
It just goes to show that you can craft anywhere. I bet this area feels a lot better than some of those magazine designed studios. You are really loved, I can tell. And I bet this will encourage your children to take an interest in your craft, too. Plus you can get in a little TV watching at the same time. Thanks for showing me your space. I know I'm late to the party, but I am really slow at this blog hop thing (and I don't have six kids, either).
It might be small but it looks glorious, fun to be in boy and you deserve it after all you given. Hope to see you again - and show us more1

thanks for the peek

Love it - I have a space downstairs without a door so I can be in the company of my lovelies while I craft. Love the FAMILY blocks, and the jars with the lids glued to the wall. Great space.
I know what you mean about not being able to sell, I have a purpose built Studio on the back of my house and don't know what we will call it when we do finally go to sell. Love your space and your board is a great idea.
Thanks for sharing
