a hodge podge (Uggggg. I blogged for hours and it disappeared. Hopefully it will work this time ;)

In years past, February is a slow month.  This month has been pretty busy.  I don't even know where to start, so here is my hodge podge post of stuff.

I guess I will start with miss snagle tooth.  AKA Nanny McFee.  Her front tooth got super super loose eating one of Suzannes delish treats.  Annie is so funny, it was bleeding and everything.  She didnt care.  The other girls would have freaked out.  She just kept wiggling it.  She was very brave.
It was so loose, it stuck out like Nanny McFees.

There she is, minus a front tooth.  I love the look of  "Holy cow, what just happened?"
Fast Forward a few more days, and now she is . . .

All I want for summer is my 2 front teeth. . . ha ha
How stinkin cute is she?

We also had many creative outfits this month.  When she went to school she also had a black pull over sweater over this lovely ensamble.
Next, we will head to see what has been going on with Amelia.

Yep, more make-up.  Not only is that lipstick, but she put fingernail polish on her face . . . again.
She even painted her toenails.
Miss curly-q loves to sleep in curler  and loves her curly hair.  Nice dance moves sweetie!!!

Speaking of hair, I am not sure how to break this to you so I guess I will with photos.

Yep, Jason wanted his hair cut.  I was not super happy about it, but it was his choice.  1. He got tired of it in is face and since I am a huge ponytail gal, I understand.  B. He was tired of being called a girl.  Can you blame him?
There was so much hair.  Unbelievable
He is at a hard  age to take photos.  He likes to make silly faces.  Go figure.
Can you believe how short it is?
She cut off so much hair, Unbelievable.
I tried again for another photo and this is all I got.  Oh well.

On to the next topic.

John sold his broken down hunk of junk.  Yeah!!!

Goodbye stratus

Here is another story.
So I have been trying to excersize more.  I have been doing some aerobics classes.  Be glad I don't have pictures.  It is not a pretty sight.  I did step first and I was all over the places.  I was just like in the movies when the fat girl at the back was spinning the wrong way, falling all over the place, including landing on my boonda.  Yes, that really happened.  Pretty much embarrassed my kids.

Now for the next topic.

Science Fair

I pretty much hate the science fair.  I think it is fun to do projects with my kids.  I just don't like having to do  perfect board with a perfect notebook.  The kids that dont have parental help don't have any hope of winning and I don't think that is very fair.

Becca's was on Elasticity.  She put balloons in the freezer, room temperature, and heated some with a hair dryer.

John helped her blow while she measured.
We use very scientific instruments.
Oh, cute.

Cassie's was on illegal drivers.  We sat at the side of the road watching a stop sign.  She recorded how many people came to a complete stop and if they were male or female.  Super fun.
Oh so sweet.

Cassie was interviewed by the judges so when she came home, she was hopeful that she might have won.  When they didn't call her name with the other 5th graders, Bailey lean over and told her sorry.  I was worried about her.  Then next thing we knew her name was being called as an overall winner and she was selected to go to district.  Yeah for Cassie.  We thought it was pretty funny since it took us forever to find a project that Becca's teacher would approve.  For Cassies, she wanted to do something with helium, but I wasn't willing to spend the money.  So we found the easiest thing online that we could.  So she goes to district on March 2nd.

And now onto yet another topic:
I thought we did a great job on their Valetine Boxes.  The classes were having contests so we made the boxes look like tvs.  James was Suite Life on Deck (he ended up sick over valentine day so he missed his party.  Bummer)  Cassies was American Idol Valentines special but her didn't win because someone did a giant llama and her class is obsessed with them.  But we did dancing with the stars for Triniti and she won.  We also made one with hearts and love words for Bailey.  Becca took a brown paper sack.

Still another topic:

We had known all that she would be showing and teaching but of course I don't know what day utnil 6:30 the night before when I was taking off for James basketball practice and a Zumba class.  (super fun excersize by the way)  So she ended up teaching her class how to make paper snowflakes.  She did a great job.  I was very proud of her.  way to go Annie!!!
Mia was fun to watch walking all around the room with her.  This BYU cheerleading outfit is her favorite thing to wear.  I have a hard time getting her out of it.  Here is a shout out to Jason and Carlos.  I had to bring them with me this morning to do James' class Junior Acheivment.  They were sooooooo well behaved.  I love those boys.

Just to make sure that James is not  left out, here is some of his artwork on the driveway.

So I don't leave you hanging, balloons get bigger when they are hotter and 70 something percent of people didn't come to a complete stop.  More men than women.  :)

You have had a busy February, but do you think March will be slower? I doubt it! I love Jason's hair cut! He looks so cute. Congrats to Cassie for winning and good luck to her in March! Now about Mia, I think all of the nail polish needs to be put away until she is 16 years old! What a little honey!

Wow---Jason looks just like James now! Kinda sad though...that hair was so him. (I felt the same way with Brett--sad, but it's a good thing too.) Thanks for letting us know who the most illegal drivers are! Good job Cass!!! Loved the measuring device for Becca. Cute no teeth, Annie. I want to know more about who James is in love with!! And what more can I say about Miss Mia???
