BLACK EYED PEAS- not the ones in the singing group, the ones in the food group

Ever since I can remember, my mom has made us eat black eyed peas on New Years Day.  Here is the thing.  They are disgusting.  Absolutely, positively gross.  In 1980's lingo, grody to the max.  Just plain yuck.   I took photos of us to prove to my mother that my sister has taken over the forcing of the peas while she is in Latvia.  But I couldn't find the stupid photos (I took too many pictures) proving that we had our bite. (yes, sis is nicer.  She only made us eat 1 pea instead of 1 spoonful  like mom would have us do.) But I did find a photo that is a perfect display of my feelings about the black eyed peas.

 Yes, they are where they should be, in the trash with the used paper products and nasty oranges that froze in my bus. Yuck.
