Happy Belated halloween

Halloween happend to fall in my very bad week. Oh well. I procrastinated taking very many pictures and I didn't end up with the best. Oh well. Halloween started out on Tuesday for us. Miss Margenes halloween program.

Here we were waiting.  My mistake.   I had forgotten that I had asked Kim to watch these little ones so I could enjoy.  Oops,  Oh well, they enjoyed it.  They lasted for a while, but then they were a bit on the bored side.  Did I mention that I didn't read the note and was there 30 mins. early?  Oh well.

My little superman singing for his program.

Jason stopped to pose with a very serious smile during the parade.

To add to a fantastic day, we had our first snow.  So I had to get everyone out of the house dressed for winter.  It makes me like warm weather so much.  I love grabbing sandals.

There you have it.  Our halloween festivites for Tues.

Wed. was my last post about my bad day.

Thursday was the elementary schools parade.  I didn't take great pictures.  The kids were running past us across the room and they only went though once.  Oh well, here is what I got.

Becca was Pippi Longstocking.

Cassie was a vampire.

James was Darth Maul.  Here is the difference between boys and girls.  I dropped the kids off for school and I stayed to get a seat for the parade.  John was having an MRI done on his knee and was going to meet us there.  Granted this was at 8 in the morning.  Uggg.  ( 9 kids all in costume and out the door by 7:45, I rock.  Although I must give credit to John for doing Darth Mauls makeup.  We even spiked his hair in sections like darth's spikes).  Then James goes marching past with no robe on.  He had a black darth maul cape thing.  He had left it it the car.  He didn't care. The girls would have been freaking out, running to find me, making a big whoop-dee-do about it.  But there is James, just enjoying life.   Oh, I love him.   As soon as our kids finished, John ran to the car and got it.  So he finished he day in full costume.
There is Miss Annie, Miss Witch.  We got a fake nose and some make-up for her.  The nose must have been made for an adult because we couldn't get it to stay on.  Then it turned out that she had an allergic reaction to her face paint.  Her face had a bumpy rash for a week.  It itched and hurt like crazy.
Unfortunety I didn't get photos of the little ones.  Mia was a BYU Cheerleader and Bionca was a girl riding a pink unicorn.  Super cute.

I helped Cassie's class with their party.  Here is Cassie's friend wrapping her like a mummy.

Then, after school, John aka best dad of the year, loaded up the van with kids and drove them to the fitness center to go to a haunted house.  It was everyones first time.  Here is everyone minus Zach (6).  We were waiting for him when I took this picture.

But me, aka space case mom, didn't find out the times for the haunted house and it was closed until the evening.  So, we went back in shifts.  John took the first shift with the younger kids who were extreamly scared.  Zach plugged his ears and went to his happy place.  Annie said that she would only go back to a hounted house when she is dead and when she is dead, she doesn't have to.  Jason was a little on the nervous side, but he loved it.  I took the older kids back with Maeli's mom.  It was super fun.  The kids were way freaked out.  I had kids holding on to me so I could barely walk.  The funniest was that the chainsaw guy chased us out and the kids were falling all over each other trying to get out of the fitness center.  We stopped to talk to a teacher and they came to chase us again.  Sooooooooooo  halarious.

Now onto Friday.  The kids didn't have school and we went to Johns work. They go all out for Halloween  It took us hours to get ready to walk around for 20 mins.  Jason was puking before we went.  He did feel better though.  As we were ready to go, Annie and Jason were fighting over booster seats and annie clawed him in the face.  So as I was cleaning him up, I asked B and C to get shoes on the little ones and get them to the car. Well, Carlos decided to just get in the car.  We didn't realize he didn't have shoes on until  it was too late to go back. At least Cassie found a pair of socks floating around the car. That was fun to take a foster kid around Johns work in socks.  Needless to say, I was not a happy camper.

Then on Saturday, I wanted to be a good mom so I made sugar cookies for the kids to decorate.

What a stupid idea.  Who needs more sugar when you are going around the neighborhood begging for candy. The cookies sat there for a week then John trashed them.  Then during Mia's nap, she puked.  She had been wearing curlers (what a mess) so I had to take them out and give her a bath.  James also got the pukes.  So they had to stay home.

Here is a shout out to my mom who made 2 of these robes for us a few years ago.  They do great for darth Maul, anyone who goes to Hogwarts and even a vampire.  Thanks mom.

Mr. Sicky with his face still died red.

It was their first time going alone with out an adult.  It made me sad.  But they enjoyed it.

Supeman.  I took Jason, Annie and Carlos out.

Little Miss Pukster who yacked all over my kitchen floor while I was gone.

Happy Halloween Ya'll

The robes are also good for Darth Vader, and in brown Yoda. (yes, I'm speaking from experience.) then, you can even use an old lion costume and be a "Wookie!" then you've got the whole star wars spectrum covered!
