Every year, we carve Jack-o-laterns. I have taken pictures every year since becca was a baby. Here are this years photos.
Getting Ready.
Annie didn't want to get any on her clothes, so she stripped down.
She thought it was pretty disgusting.
Cassie had fun. Our weather was pretty nice. It was warm enough we could be outside, but a little chilly if you stayed out too long.
Becca is not afraid of guts anymore.
Jason didn't mind it at first . . .
Then he was pretty grossed out. This is his yuck face.
But it was too hard to resist.
Mia checked it out.
Becca tried to help her get up the guts to do it. . .
But in the end, she couldn't bring her self to touch the gunk.
James started to not feel well. I think he has migraines. His head hurts so bad he can barely stand it and the he hurls. He yacked all over my couch. That has been fun to clean up, I am still in the process. About an hour after, he is fine. Eating, drinking, head ache gone. This is the 2nd time it has happened. I guess I should get him in to be seen.
We grew all the smaller pumpkins in the garden. James started them at school last year and brought them home and we planted them. We brought them in the house to turn from green to orange, but it was super cool to do that. John bought this gynormous one at the store. (Bet you can't guess what he carved in that one?) There was way more crap in that one. It was fun to pull out.
Annie had an accident and dropped hers off the counter. It was ironic that she dropped that one since it layed on its side and we made it look like it had fallen over. Surgeon mom fixed it with some toothpicks and when it is lit, it looks like it is drooling hot lava
TADA - The finished product-.

I am LOVIN those pumpkins!!! They all turned out great, and I have to say that the cracked one is my favorite :)
I'm afraid we are going to miss most of the festivities this year, bummer for us.
Wow! Loved the pumpkins!! They look so great at night. I love Annie's cracked one. We have only seen one carved pumpkind here in Latvia. They think it is a waste of good food to carve them and not eat them! :)
