I am tossing around the idea of stopping blogging. It is time comsuming. With 9 kids, 5 home all day, I don't get much time for me. I don't have a laptop, so I am strapped to my computer in my room. I would prefer to scrapbook my pictures instead of blog, but I do like that I have a copy of the memory attached to the picture in my blog. I am years behind in scrapbooking so that is helpful, but I am not sure anyone even reads it. I started it so my family could see what is going on in our lifes. We used to email a lot, but not so much lately. It has been picking up with my parents gone, but no one really reads this blog. I was told by my dad that he doesn't read blogs. One sister reads sometimes and another reads it when she is bored. I don't know. Maybe when I convince John to get me a notebook computer I will do more. I haven't been taking many photos lately either. Anyway, here are some random pictures from our lives.

This is Mia drinking a cup of lemon juice. She loves it.

Oops. This is after the next picture. becca and izzie were drinking cup fulls of lemon juice.

Guzzle, Guzzle, Guzzle

This picture is for Leah. We still do crazy stuff here, too. Brings back memories.

I canned for the first time ever. I did peaches, tomatoes, apple juice and apple sauce. yeah me.

Mia wearing becca's sweater that cassie had borrowed. I think she belongs in a book with paddington bear.

This is an outfit that annie wanted to wear to school. I usually let her wear her intersting outfits, but I put my foot down for this one.

Here is my house on any given weekend. They covered their faces with lipstick.

Makeup girls

This is the first time becca and bailey had used curling irons. They were pretty proud.

We went to Grandma and pa's hunt house to pick peaches. I guess we were allergic to something. We were itchy all over, not the extra kids, just Jason, Mia and I. Mia was the worst. She couldn't stop screaming. It was horrible. I doped us up on benadryl and we all took a nap. exciting day.

Jason's first day of preschool

Mia climbed back into the tub. all I could think was "yeah, more laundry".

She was playing to the tub one day. I went to take a picture, but she wouldn't let me. She thought she was in trouble.

Well, know that I would cry if you stopped blogging! But, I know that you have to do what you have to do. :( I read your blog every time you post. I had the little ticker tape on the side of your blog block my address because it looked like I was stocking you! I always come on to read it. Then later in the day I come back on logged in that time so that I can leave a comment. You have your comments on a strange setting so you have to be logged in before you come on and can only leave a comment when you are logged on. And Christian likes to look at blogs about too so then it would show up that I had been on the three times for the same post. Anyhow, I didn't want to look like a stalker.
I know you are busy and I am not a "facebooker" so blogging is my connection to you. But it would be really tough to blog and scrapbook. I turned to blogs because my life stopped letting me scrapbook. I was so behind and depressed about it. I turn our blog into a hardback book and it becomes our family "yearbook" for each year. I get a copy for each of the kids so they can take it with them when they leave. It's true it isn't as cute or fun as sprappin' but I still love it. And just so you know, you blog more than almost all of my other friends.
I do love and appreciate the fun lemon juice pictures of your kids! We (or technically everyone but me) did that same thing last year and got some great pictures. You have such a fun, wonderful family, it warms my heart to see.
Thanks Leah. It is nice to know you do read it. I like that you comment. Thanks. I have thought about making this blog into a book. I love the hands on scrapbooking gives me. My favorite down time is parking my behind in front of the tv and scrapbooking. It is my therapy at the end of the day. Maybe I will keep going. Thanks for your comment. I am thankful for blogs so I was able to reconnect with you. It is so fun to see your family.
I read too! Your blog makes me feel like my life is normal, or at least someone else is living a life similar to mine! John, BUY HER A NOTE BOOK! I have the same issue as Leah with the stalking, but have decided we can start a "people who stalk melissa and don't want her to stop blogging" club. Anyway, we know about stalker don't we? (very lame college refrence, one probably only I remember....) take care. You are an amazing mommy!
HA...yes we remember all about "stalkers", don't we?
Maybe I need to get into the blogging thing. I had no idea you could make them into a book. Shows what I know...
I can't let my kids see yours drinking lemon juice from a cup. I have to hold mine to a spoon or they would drink the whole bottle. there are times I walk into the kitchen and catch my kids swigging from the bottle. They're gonna wanna come and live with Aunt Melissa (probably for more reasons than just the lemon juice!!)
I know what you mean. It is time-consuming to read and post and I know I can be doing greater things, even if it is cleaning or laundry or yard work, etc, while my little one naps, rather than sitting on my rear staring at the computer. I've been tossing around being done with it all also. It's nice to see pics of kids and see what everyone is up to, but I just need to get on and read like once a month or something. :) Fun pictures you posted here. Love the girls' curly ponytails. So pretty!!
Melissa, I read your blog a lot, but I seldom comment because your's is kind of complicated.
I haven't blogged in a while, and I go through stages when I do more. Keep it up! I love all your pictures and you make the funniest comments!
