mothers day

I had a great mothers day. I got waffles with peanut butter for breakfast in bed. I also got lots of fun cards and pictures, a key chain that says "#1 mom" and I even got a pot holder made out of popsicle sitcks. How cool is my life? On the downside, I had to get 8 kids (I have 2 respite foster kids 3 and 5) ready for 9 am church. But we got to chuch the earliest we have ever been. Like 8 min. early. After chruch, we changed clothes and headed to Elwood to my sisters house. We had Grandpa's yummy spagetti. I didn't take as many pictures as I normally do, so I am going to have to beg my little brother to get his on picasa so I can snatch them. It was lots of fun, a great day. Thanks to eveyone. Here are a few shots.

Rick will be so pleased with this one. Sarah and Rick were playing around with my camera. Unfortunetly for him, my camera has an undo last erase button.
Mia got her hair into this styin' do.

So attractive.

Boys on the computer, so what is new?

Girls doing girly stuff

Mia being silly
Cassie and Jason were quite the stars.

Annie was pretty sad that she has to wait 1 month before she can jump on a tramp or do the monkey bars. It was a little disapointing for her. Becca spent most of the time reading, but that will be a post for another day because dinner for 10 is calling. ( well I think triniti is still here, so make that 11;)

Happy Mother's Day Melissa! It sounds like you got spoiled! I will never complain about having to get my 4 ready for church again. You are amazing. Love the pics of the kids on the tramp...and the mountains in the background is a really nice backdrop. :)

Wow...waffles!! I got a breakfast bar that Doug handed to me on his way to his meetings!! Actually, he was told to stay home and help me for Mother's Day, but I wouldn't let him. After 10 years of doing Sunday mornings alone, he just cramps our style...so I kicked him out! Last year he made me an omelet and then left for his meetings and I ended up having to make one for all the kids! So, he learned his lesson! Glad you had a good Mom's Day!
