I must enjoy torture

I set myself up for failure yesterday. Rebecca and I have been dying for new glasses so I made us an appointment. Logistically it all made sense. I would pick up Becca when I picked up Annie, run Zach home and we would make it to our appointment on time. I didn't, however, take into consideration that it was lunch and nap time for the 3 extra kids that didn't need glasses. So Becca and I traded off Ameila (who was really grouchy). Jason and Mia got some swirly seats in the first room. When we were at the second room, Annie plopped herself on a swirly chair and said, "I didn't get a seat in the last room, so I get this one the whole time." and she didnt' move, which then started Jason crying because that chair was bigger then the one he got . . . on and on it went. Fast forward to picking out glasses, Annie and Jason were trying on every pair they could get their hands on, Mia was trying to, but she just ended up throwing them on the floor, empting out cupboard, dumping cases everywhere. She let me hold her for a while, but she was too busy to be tied down. When my head was about to explode, I remembered the crayons and paper in my purse, so I sat them all in the corner and told them to stay. That worked better. Do you know how horrible it is to try on glasses? I hope we made a good choice, because it is way hard. Luckily I had Becca to be honest with me when I looked goofy. I hope they turn out okay. I wish I knew how to get pics from my phone on this blog, because becca found a smashing pair of glasses that were as big as her head I would love to show you, instead, here is a video of James.
